(–) Erosion of the Self

Paul M The band best describes it themselves - they aren't seeking a genre but a broad sound. And they achieve it. Hints of classic bands like Sabbath and more modern ones like Mastodon are there while not relying on said influences. Metal with clean vocals and kicks some good butt. And thought provoking topics, such as in Standing Reserve, add to the appeal. Favorite track: Standing Reserve.
The Goon
The Goon thumbnail
The Goon They seamlessly combine a variety of metal elements with really strong clean vocals. One of the best things I've heard in a while. The force is strong with the Australian metal scene.

PJD Stoner metal, with a blackened edge.
Clean vocals makes this excellent!
